Cisco to lay off 550 employees

                   Cisco will lay off 550 employees and close down Flip, the digital video camera firm it acquired in March 2009, as part of a restructuring of its consumer business.

The restructuring would see the networking technologies major focus on key areas that include core routing, switching and services, collaboration, architectures and video, said The Economic Times.

The layoff is likely to take place in the fourth quarter of the 2011 financial year, said the report quoting a company statement.

Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers said these measures are part of an effort to align operations in support it the company’s network-centric platform strategy.

Less than a week ago, Chambers had said he had to make “tough decisions” on spending and the measures announced on Tuesday are among the first towards a reorganisation of the company.

Cisco aims to combine its Umi home teleconferencing service with the TelePresence business product. It also plans to change the way it manufactures the Linksys networking equipment.

However, it is too early to estimate the impact of these measures on Indian operations, said a Cisco India spokesperson.

Prashanth in dual role, Sneha, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Kushboo, Prakash Raj, Napoleon, Rajkiran and Vijayakumar and many other significant artistes.

'Deiva Thirumagan'


Kollywood superstar Vikram has been away from the limelight for a long time now. His last release 'Raavanan', where he shared screen space with Aishwarya, brought him accolades but the actor took to hibernation. He has surfaced again, with a new look.

In 'Deiva Thirumagan', Chiyaan Vikram plays the role of an autistic man. The film, which seems to be an inspired take on Sean Penn's 'I am Sam', also features Anushka Shetty, Amala Paul and Nassar in prominent roles. Directed by A.L. Vijay, 'DTM' is set for a May release.

                  From 8th April 2011, the IPL4 season started. Opening match of the 2011 IPL4,is going between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at MAC Stadium in Chennai.

            On 8th April 2011,the match between two teams CSK vs KKR was played at MAC stadium in Chennai.CSK Won the Toss and choose to bat.

CSK Innings :

          S Aniruda and M Vijay are the two opening batsmen in CSK. In First Over Iqbal Abdulla has bowled and took the first wicket of M Vijay have scored 4 Runs. After dismiss of M Vijay, Raina and Aniruda are played and made partnership 75 Runs. Between this partnership Yusuf Pathan made two miscatch. Aniruda played well against Kallis Over. Raina was out at his score 33 Runs from Patha ball. After this one Dhoni and Aniruda are made a partnership of 49 Runs.Aniruda took 50 Runs from 43 balls against Abdulla Over. Dhoni was out at his score 29 Runs. Following Dhoni, Aniruda was dismissed from Kallis ball. After this Partnership,Morkel and Styris made Partnership 15 Runs. Finally CSK scored 153/4 from 20 Overs.

KKR Innings :

                 Kallis and Bisla are two opening batsmen in KKR.They started the innings smoothly and scored high. Kallis Scored 54 Runs from 42 balls.Atlast KKR took 151/7 from 20 Overs.

Result :

        CSK WON by 2 Runs. S Aniruda(CSK) declared as Man of the Match.
